Fabric & Size Guide
How much fabric do I need?
Every Rangzay piece is a 4 meter cut at 54–56 inch width. For most adult men in Pakistan, that is a complete shalwar kameez with nothing left over and nothing short.
Quick guide
| Your height | Build | 4m enough? |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 5'8" | Slim to average | Yes, comfortably |
| 5'8" – 6'0" | Average | Yes |
| Over 6'0" | Average to broad | Usually yes — confirm with your tailor if you want a longer kameez |
| Any height | Broad / larger size | Message us before ordering |
The 54–56 inch width matters as much as the length. A narrower cloth of the same meterage will leave your tailor short.
Before you order
- Ask your tailor what meterage he used for your last kameez — it is the most reliable number you have
- If you prefer a longer kameez, a mandarin collar, or full sleeves with cuffs, mention it to him first
- Wash & wear does not shrink significantly, so there is no need to buy extra for shrinkage
Caring for wash & wear
- Machine or hand wash in cold water
- Do not bleach, do not wring
- Dry in shade — direct sun will fade any dyed cloth over time
- Iron on medium if needed. Most of the time it will not be
